1964 Mercury Comet Convertible. Body Style: 76 B Body: 76B-F-6Z-03K-17-4-6 Motor # – 5E289 Production Number: Only 9,039 Made- August of 1964 and sold in Philadelphia. Rear Axle- 2.81 to 1 Transmission: Dual Range 3 Speed Automatic, “legal” tinted windows. One of the caveats that come with the car is that the “vanity plate” FINTAGE is mine and is already scheduled to be put on my personal vehicle. That said, you will be required, once registered, to send the plate back to me.
With well over $25,500 invested into the vehicle, this is ready to get on the road and turn heads! This Mercury Caliente` has a brand new, rebuilt, 289 motor. It also has some aftermarket disc brakes that make the car stop on a dime like a brand new car!!
This amazing, eye grabbing vehicle has custom (original looking), high grade leather interior, tinted windows, AM/FM Stereo and ALL lights (courtesy lights, glove box light, etc.). The convertible top is in excellent condition and does not leak. This Calente` has seat belts in all four major positions to keep you and your family safe.
This vehicle shows no signs of ever being hit in an accident; however is NOT perfect. It would take minimal effort make this vehicle “Trophy Worthy.”
The speedometer has a brand new cable; however the last mechanic to work on it did not “hook it back up.” Outside of that, as far as I know, EVERYTHING works puuuurrrrrfect on this ride!
